Group manager: Renewable Lance
Welcome to the Canyonlands region relocalizaton network! We are working on "making other arrangements" (in Howard Kuntsler's terms) for a relocalized community in Southeastern Utah. Our group has five working committees:
Food security - local and regional food production. Cat herder: Kaki Hunter
Energy security - local production of renewable energy for local production, promotion of various forms of energy efficiency or "negawatts" Cat herder: Lance Christie
Water security - hydrologic function of watershed, water source and conservation issues. Cat herder: Bob Lippmann
Green building - new and retrofit construction: energy efficient using locally-produced materials. Cat herder: Doni Kiffmeyer
Transportation security - alternatives to dependence on fossil-fueled personal vehicles. Cat herder: Franklin Seal
Community security - Education and adapting to cultural change. Cat herder: Celia Alario
